About

– Kirk Furniture and Cabinetry Restoration is not just a mouthful to say, but its also a sentimental small business. From the name, down to the passion for why I do what I do. I believe in giving your piece a new lease on life. Whether you’re deciding to restore an item to it’s former glory, or completely changing the look, my goal is to bring out the best in the materials by using a combination of modern/traditional techniques for the image you have in mind. –

Chase Kirk – Owner

Chase Kirk Owner of Kirk Furniture and Cabinetry Restoration in Houston, Texas

My furniture journey began at 20, when I worked part-time at a rent-to-own store. Seeing the limitations of mass-produced furniture sparked an interest in better furniture construction. Refinishing discarded pieces for my apartment ignited a passion for the process. Moving to Houston in 2018, I became an in-home furniture service technician, gaining restoration and business experience. This led to millwork and cabinetry, further expanding my skills. Today, I specialize in furniture refinishing, cabinetry restoration, and more.

Growing up in Tallahassee, Florida, I developed a strong passion for artistic pursuits, spending countless hours sketching and painting. My studies in high school and college included graphic design, sculpting, and color theory, building a solid foundation in visual arts. In 2024, I decided to merge my artistic abilities with my love for hands-on work, moving to Houston to apprentice in furniture repair and restoration. My career choice has allowed me to bring my artistic eye to the craft of restoring and repairing furniture as an in-home technician, working alongside my childhood friend, Chase.
